Who we are

At Hayes Quality Homes, our story began in the Florida Keys, where Jake and Rosie Hayes met in 2010 and began their journey in construction just a few years later. With hands-on experience remodeling homes in Key West, they built a strong foundation in craftsmanship and design. In 2015, they moved to Decatur, Texas, to raise their family and expand their vision. By 2018, they were developing land and building custom homes across Wise County.

With more than 12 years of construction experience—including four focused on home building—Hayes Quality Homes brings knowledge, integrity, and personalized service to every project. Whether it’s a single-family home, barndominium, remodel, or a new build on undeveloped land, we’re your trusted partner from design to completion. Our in-house design team crafts custom plans tailored to your lifestyle, ensuring a smooth, stress-free building experience.

Jake Hayes – Builder & Community Leader
Born and raised in Decatur, Texas, Jake Hayes brings deep roots, strong values, and hands-on experience to Hayes Quality Homes. Growing up on a dairy farm, he learned early the importance of hard work, responsibility, and persistence—traits that now guide his work in construction and community service. In addition to home building, Jake holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and serves as a Captain for a major commercial airline. A dedicated public servant, Jake also serves on the Decatur City Council and Economic Development Corporation. When he’s not building homes or flying planes, you’ll find Jake hunting, fishing, or making memories with his family.

Rosie Hayes – Interior Designer & Real Estate Professional
Originally from Key West, Florida, Rosie Hayes brings creativity, expertise, and a love for design to every project at Hayes Quality Homes. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Fine Art in Interior Design from Florida State University and is a registered Interior Designer in Texas and Florida. With over a decade of experience in construction, Rosie understands the full scope of the building process—from space planning to the final details. She also holds a Texas real estate license and helps clients make smart, value-driven decisions whether they’re buying land, starting a custom build, or tackling a renovation. Rosie’s passion for the outdoors and eye for design fuel her commitment to crafting homes that reflect both function and beauty.
